After connecting on a dating app and arranging to meet early Sunday, a man allegedly held another man at gunpoint, demanded his property and stole his car, New Orleans police said.

Police responded to the robbery in the 6800 block of Parc Brittany Boulevard in the West Lake Forest neighborhood at around 9:06 a.m. They said a 22-year-old man met up there with a man he met through an online dating site. When the 22-year-old arrived in a blue 2010 Ford Focus, the suspect approached with a firearm and demanded his property.

The 22-year-old ran away, police said. When he returned, his vehicle was gone. The Louisiana license plate reads 903DSW.
