The stage is set at Churchill Downs for horse racing's next big event, the 2023 Preakness Stakes. The Preakness takes place on Saturday, May 20, and there are plenty of ways to have fun watching and betting on your favorite horse in the second jewel of the Triple Crown races.

One of those ways is to bet on the event using Caesars Sportsbook, official odds partner of Bet.NOLA.com. Caesars offers multiple ways to play along with the 2023 Preakness, all wagers via the Caesars Racebook app: win, place, show, exacta, superfecta and much more.

You must be 21 years or older and in a participating state to place bets on the Preakness.

Coverage for the most exciting two minutes in sports starts at 11 a.m. on NBC, streaming on Peacock. The race is scheduled to begin at 6:01 p.m. from Pimlico Race Course, and it can be viewed on the same services.

Mage — fresh off his Kentucky Derby victory — is the betting favorite with 8-to-5 odds as of Friday afternoon at Caesars. National Treasure (4/1) and Blazing Sevens (6/1) are the next choices in a seven-horse field.

If you're looking to follow along with your bets, Caesars will stream races LIVE in HD. You can also view races and replays on-demand, and stay up to date with live shows, with the Caesars Racebook app.
