  • A little information...

Mrs. Lori Dolan was born in Philadelphia and raised in Erdenheim  and now resides in Glenside, PA. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Arcadia University while working as a teacher’s aide and raising her daughter. She has been in the classroom for 16 years and can still say she ‘loves her job’.  Her haven is Ocean City, NJ where she loves to read and relax. She likes to try new things like skydiving even if it is only one time!

As a teacher, Mrs. Dolan tries to make a connection with each student through whatever interests them and then build a relationship using that first connection as a building block. She enjoys teaching all the subjects and is very excited about the new science lab.

Teaching at a Catholic school allows her to incorporate the beliefs and values that were instilled in her childhood to help educate children in this generation. StJP allows her to bring the faith of God cross-curricular to make children understand that no matter where their talents lie, the basis for everything they do or say should be one of respect for each other and themselves. She says, “When we understand that, we are living our faith”. The fact that she is at a school that can stop, pray, and discuss God at anytime during the day is essential to understanding the way God wants people to live. She really appreciates the sense of family that exists and the parental involvement. As a product of Catholic Schools herself she feels she owes the education and the lifelong friendships that she made to the dedicated teachers and families that she encountered.
